Summer Days Drifting Away

When does Summer really begin?  Some kids are out of school for summer break starting in early May, others don’t get out until the end of June.  The official first day of Summer is June 21.  We get so trapped into our Monday thru Friday, 9 – 5 routine  we forget that there are things to do…things that we could be doing.  Fun things to do.  When you wake up and it is already 80 degrees, it becomes so easy to stay in the house with the cool air blowing.  It becomes routine to say “its too hot out, lets just stay in”.  This Summer…let’s go out.

According to yesterday’s Daily Post I should have a Summer 2011 “bucket list”, so here goes…

1. Go to the beach…

2. Finish the Black Dagger Brotherhood series (currently on book 6 out of 9)

3. Go to Six Flags/White Water (I haven’t gone to an amusement park in 7 years)

4. Try a new drink once a week

5. Go somewhere I have never been (hopefully Myrtle Beach)

6. Go to an outdoor concert/movie

7. Enjoy a whole day of seafood (Crab, lobster, clams, mussels, scallops, etc.)

8. Watch the sunset

9. Swim at least 4 times a week

10. Teach my baby girl how to swim
